How do I become a witch?
So, you've decided that you want to become a witch & practice witchcraft. First, you need to analyze why you want to become a witch. Here are some questions that you need to answer:
How did you decide this & what influenced your decision?
...Witchcraft is a religion. Witchcraft is spirituality. Movies and television shows do not accurately portray the religion and practices of witchcraft. If you want to be like the witches in "The Craft", you are in it for the wrong reasons.
What do you know about witchcraft, past & present?
...Do you know about "The Burning Times"? Have you done any research on the history or the modern practices? Have you gotten your information from actual witches?
What will your parents think about your decision?
...This can be especially difficult. Unfortunately, many people believe that witchcraft practices are evil, and your parents may believe this also. I would recommend trying to determine what your parent's understanding of witchcraft is before you tell them that you want to practice witchcraft!
Are spells and power all you are interested in?
...Contrary to popular belief, witches do not practice witchcraft for "power". Spells are an aspect of witchcraft, but are not used to influence other's behavior.
Do you want to cause harm to others?
...If you are looking for a way to get back at someone, and you think witchcraft spells are the way to do this, you are in it for the wrong reason
